I'm from Long Island. My wife and I went up to Ithaca to go hiking. Of course my weekend was in danger of being ruined when my brakes started making horrific noises. I knew the calipers had frozen closed. (Dammit!) I saw this place had pretty good reviews so I went there. I spoke to Jason, the owner. He told me what it would cost and said he would do his best to get it done by the end of the day. My wife and I walked over to the park and at the end of the hike the car was ready. I'm happy with the work and the price was fair, no ripoffs. Thanks Jason!

I have had two very positive experiences with this repair shop. In both cases I was uncertain of the repairs needed and feared that I was headed for substantial parts and labor charges. They could have told me most anything. In one instance they completed the repair for a fraction of what I have been told to expect at another auto repair shop and in the second case they were able to make a minor repair without any charge. I trust these guys and plan to use them for all repairs and tires.

I was at Ithaca Auto Service about 1 week ago for service. The mechanic fixed my problem in less than 45 minutes. The mechanic was friendly and knowledgeable. I had taken an older vehicle in for service several times and Jason along with the mechanics did a super job at a reasonable rate. I was extremely pleased every time. Fortunately I purchased a new vehicle and have not had the need for service. But, this time I did and I still have found the shop to be professionally staffed and same courteous service. Definitely the shop to go to for skilled, professional service. 5 stars absolutely!!!!

This place is amazing, the people are so kind. I called to set up an appointment and I was able bring my car right away to get inspected. The car was inspected, serviced, and they changed the oil all within an hour. When I brought my car to get serviced at Honda, they told me I had to refill the wiper fluid on my own, but these guys did it for me. This just shows how courteous the practice is here. Over the phone they were kind and patient. All-round great experience

I was traveling to the area and had a bad power steering leak. Mercifully, they were able to get my car in on a Friday morning, looked at it promptly, *showed me the part / scope of repair* and gave me a totally reasonable estimate and did the work expertly. Being from out of town, with a significant problem, I feared being taken to the cleaners - went here first due to the positive reviews. I seriously could've hugged the tech when they told me they'd do it. What a relief. Go here, no hesitation! ** I cant tell you how much that matters to me when a mechanic shows me the work - I know a little about cars and it makes me feel very confident.

I was impressed a couple of times that I took my car in there for advice. They struck me as a quite honest and truthful. I was so impressed that I went back to them and bought four new winter tires for my Honda accord. I'll be going back for services as I need it. They were so much better than the Honda dealer.

A fantastic experience. I am always stressed about car services in Ithaca, as they tend to be both overpriced and overbooked. The guy who answered the phone (I think his name was Joe... he was super nice) scheduled me for the next day. He was quick, honest, and the price was reasonable for my battery change. He even brought me into the shop, showed me the test results and walked me through the whole thing. Great experience and will be depending on them for every car need!

It's so nice having a local mechanic I can trust. I've never been overcharged and sometimes aren't charged for things the dealership really charges for. I love this place! Thanks for your honesty in an industry people (especially women) get taken advantage of in.

I bring my vehicle here every time I have an issue with my car or just need an oil change. John is the one there that works on it and he is very friendly and knowlegeable. It's always done quick and with very reasonable pricing. I highly recommend this shop above anywhere else. I will add, I had purchased a car from Sun Auto in Cortland (which I will NEVER go to again!) When I went in for an inspection and oil change, he noticed my subframe was rotted out and told me so that I could get it fixed as soon as possible. If it wasn't for him, I would still be driving on an unstable subframe. I love Ithaca Auto Service! 🙂

I recently moved from Florida and needed a trustworthy auto shop ASAP. I read the reviews and was sure glad I found this place. I got an oil change, and also had them check out a sound that worried me. I was only charged for the oil change (which was a GREAT price) and the sound was an easy fix (which I didn't get charged for). If you need a reliable, trustworthy shop look no further.

Excellent local auto repair in Ithaca. Be prepared - this shop is FAST! I left my 2 vehicles for repair expecting the usual "get it to you by the end of the day" but instead these guys completed oil changes, brake work and tires within a few short hours. Jason is great - very helpful, personable and John was knowledgeable any time I had questions. They use quality NAPA parts and labor was reasonably priced. I'm so glad they're open - highly recommended!
